Data Import/Export

Start by downloading the CSV template that shows the required format:

  1. Go to Data in the sidebar
  2. Click Download Template
  3. Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets

  1. Prepare your CSV file with the required columns
  2. Go to Data, then Import
  3. Click Choose File and select your CSV
  4. Review the preview - check that columns mapped correctly
  5. Click Import
  • All Voters - Complete voter file with all fields
  • Contact Results - Only voters with recorded results
  • Supportive Voters - Voters marked as supportive
  • Custom Filter - Apply filters before exporting
  1. Go to Data, then Export
  2. Select the export type
  3. Apply any filters (optional)
  4. Click Export CSV

To update existing voter data (e.g., new phone numbers from updated voter file):

  1. Prepare a CSV with the unique_id and fields to update
  2. Import normally - existing records update, new ones are created
  3. Canvass results and notes are preserved

Regularly export your data as a backup:

  1. Export “All Voters” with all fields
  2. Save the file with a date in the filename
  3. Store securely according to data policies
