Events Management
Accessing Events
Section titled “Accessing Events”Click Events in the sidebar to view all campaign events. You can filter by:
- Upcoming - Future events
- Past - Completed events
- All - Everything
Creating an Event
Section titled “Creating an Event”- Click the Create Event button
- Fill in the event details (see below)
- Set the visibility level
- Click Create to publish
Event Fields
Section titled “Event Fields”| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | Name of the event (e.g., “Saturday Door Knock”) |
| Type | Category: Canvassing, Phone Bank, Rally, Meeting, Other |
| Date & Time | Start and end times (Arizona timezone) |
| Location | Address where the event will be held |
| Description | Details, what to bring, parking info, etc. |
| Visibility | Who can see this event (see below) |
Event Visibility
Section titled “Event Visibility”Control where your event appears with visibility settings:
Public & Internal (Everyone)
Section titled “Public & Internal (Everyone)”Event appears everywhere:
- Public website at energyfreedom.team
- Clean Energy Friends (CEF) app
- SRP Canvass app
Use for: Public rallies, community events, volunteer recruitment drives.
Public Only (Website & CEF)
Section titled “Public Only (Website & CEF)”Event appears on public platforms but NOT in the SRP Canvass app:
- Public website at energyfreedom.team
- Clean Energy Friends (CEF) app
Use for: Public events that don’t require full canvasser access.
Internal Only (Team App)
Section titled “Internal Only (Team App)”Event ONLY appears in the SRP Canvass app:
- SRP Canvass app for approved canvassers
Use for: Team meetings, training sessions, internal strategy sessions, events that shouldn’t be public.
Managing Signups
Section titled “Managing Signups”View who has signed up for each event:
- Click on an event to open details
- Scroll to the Attendees section
- View the list of registered attendees
- Export the list if needed
Attendee Information
Section titled “Attendee Information”For each signup, you’ll see:
- Name - User’s name or “Guest” for non-logged-in signups
- Email - Contact email address
- Signed Up - When they registered
- Status - Confirmed, Canceled, or Attended
Editing Events
Section titled “Editing Events”- Click on the event you want to edit
- Click the Edit button
- Make your changes
- Click Save
Canceling Events
Section titled “Canceling Events”To cancel an event:
- Open the event
- Click Cancel Event
- Confirm the cancellation
Canceled events remain in the system for record-keeping but won’t appear in upcoming events lists.
Event Types
Section titled “Event Types”Event types are loaded from the database and can include:
- Canvassing - Door-to-door voter outreach
- Phone Bank - Group calling sessions
- Rally - Public gatherings
- Meeting - Team meetings, training
- Other - Miscellaneous activities
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”Planning Events
Section titled “Planning Events”- Create events at least 1 week in advance
- Include clear descriptions with what to bring
- Add parking and accessibility information
- Set appropriate visibility based on audience
Managing Attendance
Section titled “Managing Attendance”- Check signup numbers a few days before
- Send reminders to attendees
- Have a backup plan for low turnout
- Mark attendance after the event for future planning
